Common Name: Prayer Plant, Zebra Plant, ‘Maui Queen’
Characteristics: The plant is a rare tropical plant that is actually a hybrid cultivar of two Calathea species. It has fabulous foliage of three shades, green leaves with white-stroked centres, and purple undersides.
Top Tips:
Use a well-draining, properly-aerated potting mix;
Sunlight - will thrive in bright, indirect sunlight and is sensitive to direct sunlight;
This plant requires moderate watering. It should be watered one to two times every week from March to September. Decrease its watering to once every two weeks for the rest of the year;
Provide bright indirect light and humidity between 50-60%, keep away from draughts, radiators and fans;
Fertilise weekly in spring and summer, remember to always dilute the fertilizer to half its strength before adding it to the plant;
